Implementation of the Third Official Workshop of the Project: Iraqi National Dialogue 2021 - 2022 - on 26 & 27.09.21 in Mosul/Iraq.

After six months of preparation, the first workshop of the project "The Iraqi National Dialogue 2021 - 2022" started in Baghdad on 29 & 30 May 2021.  The second session was held in Najaf on 06 & 07 July 2021. These workshops are part of a unique project that will take place in 24 sessions over the next 2 years.

The third workshop will be held in Mosul on 26th and 27th September 2021. Many participants will gather to address diverse topics dealing with the Iraqi National Dialogue. The participants shall include politicians, academics, actors & athletes, activists, theologians of various faiths as well as people of several minorities (for example, Yezidis, Shabak, Turkmens and Sabians etc.), and members of civil organizations who share the common goal of strengthening Iraqi unity and stability in the region.

The first session will be held on 26.9.21, which will deal with the topic of "Reconstruction of Trust in the Iraqi Society"

Within this session, the different parties will discuss from their respective points of view how reflecting on a common nationality can lead to the rebuilding of the society.

On the same day, a second roundtable will be held under the title: "Reconstruction of Nineveh Governate and its Effect on the Empowerment of the Iraqi State"

Here, issues surrounding the Iraqi state in particular will be discussed. A common national identity can only emerge if Iraqi politics accepts the various ethnic groups on an equal footing and grants them the chance to reconstruct their war-stricken areas.

In addition, two other workshops will be held on 27.9.21. The first will also be held at a roundtable and is titled: "From Solving the Roots of Conflict to the Empowerment of National Unity

The Iraqi population has a variety of ethnic and religious groups. This diversity can help build the Iraqi state and strengthen its constitutional institutions, as well as serve the interests of the nation and society. However, the basis for this is a comprehensive dialogue within the nation and to wipe out any possibility that may lead to internal conflict.

The second roundtable on the same day will address the topic, "Participating in the Coming Election and its Effect at Constructing Permanent Peace".

In this roundtable, the participants will discuss the potentials that the coming election maintains for a brighter future in Iraq. It might be the last chance the Iraqis have to change the chaotic circumstances they are suffering from.

Overall, these workshops lay the foundation for further dialogue within Iraq. The participants engage in a lively exchange with each other, and discussions are held at eye level and with mutual respect. The respective opinions and suggestions will be recorded and will be analyzed and evaluated in due course.
